Cocalico Food Pantry – Client-Choice Program
Welcome to the Cocalico Food Pantry, a client-choice program supporting families in need through REAL Life Community Services. We provide more than just food – it’s a chance for clients to engage with the community and take control of their grocery needs.
How It Works:
Current REAL Life Community Services clients can visit the Cocalico Food Pantry once a month to choose their groceries with REAL bucks.
- REAL Bucks: Clients earn REAL bucks through activities like picking up Power Packs and attending Client Choice shopping. Other ways to earn are by attending church services, Peter’s Porch, social worker appointments, library visits, and Cocalico School District events.
-
Affordable Groceries: With REAL bucks, clients can “purchase” items from the pantry. Prices range from 2 for 1 REAL-bucks to 3 REAL-bucks per item. Milk, eggs, and produce are always free to encourage healthier eating choices.
Why It Matters:
The Cocalico Food Pantry program is a lifeline for many families who need groceries at a reasonable cost. It not only helps clients meet their immediate needs but also encourages long-term growth by connecting them to local community resources and support.
- Clients earn REAL bucks through various activities, enabling them to access more groceries for their families.
- Attending community events and programs strengthens connections, helps clients access extra support, and fosters a sense of belonging.
This program empowers families, helping them bridge the gap between need and opportunity.
